There is a conductor in the center, surrounded by insulation, surrounded by a mesh conductor, then the jacket. If its cut, you need to re-connect the center pins to each other, and the outside shield conductors to each other. Typically this means an actual coax connector, one male, one female.
Short answer, it's probably cheaper to buy another coax cable. LMR224 cable with TNC-male ends. Probably can get a 25' cable for less than $40 on ebay. | |
