Vermont | I would mildly dispute the bulletproof transmission, guy I know has an 8670 that's about to get its second transmission replacement/rebuild at 14k hours. I wouldn't consider that a lifespan to brag about, but it has been used for pushing silage so not exactly an easy life.
If it's clean and you can get an idea of history it wouldn't scare me at all. But 30 years and 10k hours is a lot of time for problems to start building up if it hasn't been taken care of. They're really nice tractors, and I would love to own one, but not really an exception to the rule that maintenance means more than color at that age. | |
