South Central MN | While the soil may have a lot of P in it, how fast it becomes available to the plant could be a problem. I have a couple fields that were mined for years before my dad brought it, and he didn't do much to build it up either. Soil tests showed availability of 4-5 ppm or whatever scale they use. I figure I need to be at removal rates+ for years to do anything to improve it, but at least I should see a response to fertilizer. | |
