My question is...Why should it?

I haven't heard that 1847 was an extreme weather year and can't find data to support that yet.

But *assuming* 1847 was a bad weather year, what mechanism then was at work to make 1936 bad, too? Ocean currents? Astral alignments? We need an explanation.

I think we humans are great at pattern recognition -- even where a true pattern doesn't exist.
