Subject: RE: variety tracking with Yield Sense

East Central, Nebraska
what monitor do you have?

you dont need a climate account to do variety tracking. all you get with a climate account is climate/bayer tracking.

do you want to see the result of the side by sides via yield map? do you want to track the varieties in the field as you harvest, as you know where they are at?are they marked in the field and you want to change the monitor to track them? did you track varieties when you planted in a different monitor and want to pull them into your monitor to track them?

the very crude user interface of the gen1 and gen2 monitors made it difficult to do any variety tracking on screen live at harvest so the ipad connected to a climate account made it like a good monitor should be and made it able to view yields on the go. basically what ag leader had been doing since the late 90's and early 2000s. the gen 3 has a much better interface to do what your asking without handing all data over to a third party to use as they wish. third party software would also assist in making your goals of seeing your results a reality. give us a little more information and maybe we could guide you. an ipad with fieldview may be the ideal solution, but i am unsure as how it will help you track varieties unless you know where they are or have data from another display to load into fieldview. otherwise their are many other options to assist in this.
