Subject: Working in Spread Fertilizer/Lime in Fall?

Hi All,

It's pretty late in the year but I'm having P,K, Zn and lime spread onto my field. The past crop was soybeans. Next year will be corn.

I have several options for post fertilizer/lime application field operations.

1. Don't do anything. Let the lime and fertilizer rest on the bean stubble over the winter and field cultivate in the Spring.
2. Use the field cultivator now to work it in.
3. Disc ripper the field (probably 10" deep).
4. Use the discs of the ripper alone and leave the ripper shanks up.

The field has some slight rolling hills but not overwhelming. OM is 3-10. It's pretty heavy dirt.

TIA
