Subject: RE: PTO generator sizing

I had a Pincor 16,000 when I milked, actually still have it, but power was very reliable, only used once, but I only hooked up the barn to it and only ran 1 thing at a time, vacuum pump was a 5.5 hp Surge and was the biggest motor we had. I would g with at least a 25,000 if I were you and probably kind of lean towards a bigger one with the size of your tractors if you can find one that is reasonably priced. At the time I was looking Pincor's were good once the original steel brush springs were replaced with stainless steel ones or Kato-light , Winco were the good ones from what my electric motor man told me, there are few smaller ones that are 3600 rpm, best to stay away from them and stick to the 1800 rpm ones.
