There is a lot more profit then $35 backgrounding and $10 fattening out, at least at my place.
If you’re selling them at 850-950 lb you are abstracting most of the profit. Lots of money gets left on the table shipping 450 lb calves.
Personally I would take them to 900 and sell before I would pay someone else to feed them out.
