SC Wisconsin | Some iPads (newer Pro versions) need USB-C connections on both ends of the cable to keep up. As others mentioned, you must have adequate amperage, 2.4 amps probably won’t keep up. I experienced the same problem when I updated my iPad Pro. My charger worker fine on the old one but not on the newer model with USB C port.
