I don't really have that good of answer. The main reasons we are in this situation in my opinion is a combination of wrong policies of government controlled low interest rates for too long (continual economy stimulation) and getting rid of the laws that kept investment banking and deposit banking separate. My gloomy outlook is mostly based on the fact that we are depending on the same group of economist that caused the problem to correct it with the same thinking that created the problem and also depending on the same group in congress who got rid of the rules that protected us from banking shenanigans (Glass-Steagal from Great Depression days) and who are bought and paid for by the banking industry are the ones in charge of reining in the problem. I think it is going to be a long painful road to get the change we need. John
