| You're absolutely right about the dead weight. Being a plug-in hybrid changes that dynamic a bit, but at some point if the majority of the vehicle use is relying on the ICE then it really limits what cost savings that plug-in feature can offer.
I'm speaking more to them chasing economy when talking about forced induction. So a v8 would be something like a 3-4 liter with turbos, but at that point since they're not chasing displacement I suspect it doesn't really make sense to stick with 8 cylinders at that point. | |
