Why would a turbo straight 6 gas be seen as a disadvantage while everyone wants a turbo straight 6 diesel? Only disadvantage I see is a longer engine which might present some issues while servicing the rear of the engine.
Remember all the old straight 6's in trucks? Chryslers 225 slant 6 and then the 4.0, Ford's 300, GM's 250 and 292?
