Honestly, I wonder why there hasn't been a shift to smaller displacement v8s and forced induction. I guess there must be an ideal per-cylinder displacement that works well for economy, cost and emissions? That or with the added cost of forced induction the cost of the engine needs to be reduced to keep overall cost in check.
