Nathan and SVS are correct. You can also take that relief valve off, hook it up to a gauge and a hand hydraulic pump, and test the "pop off" pressure just like you'd test a diesel injector. FIRST check what it's set at, then adjust it as high as you think you'll need, probably 2,000. UNLESS, it's already set at 2,000 or higher, then you need to go back and try to lift a full load you know it won't lift, to see the highest pressure the pump is capable of putting out. If the pump won't put out over 1,700, the relief is already set at 2,000, then raising the relief setting isn't going to help, it will hurt when something blows when someone installs a new pump that will reach higher pressure.
