By Rochester MN | Well, I took apart the hyd resevoir with pump assembly. Pulled the valve and whole pump out. It sure did look like a hole in the pressure hose, so I had a new one made and thought that would fix it. Well it did not. Might be a bit better but still no go with any more than about 450 bushels in towards the back. (again, 20 ft box) So I put a T fitting in with a gauge and here are the readings I got::
(The leak on the one cylinder to the outside now seems to be worse also.)
With box completely down. and a load
1100-1200 psi with valve in neutral spot.
Goes to 1700 when first trying to lift. (this is where it really struggles to lift) (revvin up it may go up by 100, not much)
As the lift goes up, you can watch pressure drop. The higher the lift goes, the less pressure, but it lifts fine up there.
When hoist up quite a ways, idle pressure is around 600-700
May go to 800-900 when lifting, but lifts fine.
So I am wondering if the leaky cylinder is a sign of leaking pressure off? Or bad pump? Or both?
I guess I really don't know what pressures I should be seeing.
Any suggestions on a good Hydraulic shop, grain truck lift shop, I could talk to, to see where pressures should be, maybe get some advice??
Thanks much.
