I think the "lassez-faire" capitalists have been in charge for most of the last decade and were on the watch when we hit the iceberg.

The ideal of free enterprise righting the ship ignores the basic human failing that Roubini notes in his speech - greed.

Let's face it, no one has the infallible truth and answer. It seems to me that we fragile humans must muddle through this as best we can. If we are honest and deal with each other and different opinions with integrity we will get through it.
