| Sold calves this past winter and they did fairly well. Was kind of shocked what freezer beef is going for this summer/fall. Should have kept a few back and fed them. Iv seen grass feed/grain finished going for 6+- a pound hanging and then some grass finished angus up to 10.25 a pound hanging. I know those hippie folks we have up near the mountains and Denver area go nuts for that grass feed beef. Last couple I sold were at 4 a pound in 2020. Curious what it’s going for in your area. Wonder if we just happen to be in the right spot and prices are high?
