MN | Once I start the 966 or 4440 they are started for the day, most of the time. I made remotes with actuators for throttle up/down and PTO on/off for both, this is he third year in use no problems.
Total cost for each tractor around 200 bucks and a little metal fab in the shop. On a busy day I'll dump 25-30 end dumps, I pull up start hoisting,watch in the passenger mirror as I remote the swing hopper in place,I hop out,as I'm walking back drivers side,I'm engaging the PTO it's running when I get to the back of the truck, I open the endgate throttle up with the remote..reverse the process when the trucks empty.
One really nice thing is I can be wandering around doing other things,moister samples,checking dryers,walking to the shop refilling my coffee cup and hear the auger run empty...throttle down and shut the PTO off from a 100 yards away....
