I just looked up my lowest soybean sale and it was in the fall of 1999 and I got $4.65 at the river. I was 20 years old and now 30. I would say I am a "young guy" but since starting in 1994 I have sold more corn for under $2.50 than above $4.50. Same goes with beans($7.50 or lower). I feel like anytime you can sell $10 beans you better. I might not be the best at marketing either.
