It's a fungal infection spread by direct contact. Doesn't effect performance. You can put up a wire to keep some separation. But your new group may have it also and you don't know it yet. It's that time of year you see it more. Personally, I would focus on a good vaccination program and diet and let the ringworm run its coarse.
