Subject: RE: Tank heaters

So just a thought, I've been told some guys on desert in Utah are using just propane bottles and running a hose to water tank. Sticking hose under float system in tank. Then just turning gas barely on just a bubble being timed I guess. I thought the guy told me tank lasted quite a while. I thought he told me a 5 gallon tank, not sure.

The guy told me it was rectangle tanks, like 800 gallons or so. I've not seen this in use just been told. Been wondering if the same could be done with air. Wondering if you could use a 500 gallon propane tank with air, if you could fill to 150-175 psi.

I could have swore they told me they use 5 gallon propane tank, thinking it last 2-3 weeks. I need to call them and ask. Maybe will try it and see how long a tank would last.

Just a thought tonight, tell me if I'm stupid.
