Central Minnesota | It’s always dangerous to paint any breed with a broad brush because there’s always more variability within a breed than between breeds. But, my experience was the 1/2 Akaushi/Red Angus were slightly more excitable than my very calm Red Angus but still very good mothers. I sold mine with calves at side to my brother in law in 2021 due to drought and he says they’re very good cows and have all bred back. The most annoying thing about them is they have a goofy high pitched “moo,” I don’t know how else to explain it. | |
