S Illinois | If we removed crop insurance how many acres would change. It’s a lot less than many think. It’s not crop insurance that makes people want to plant corn and beans in the less traditional areas, it’s the ease of growing a crop. Those 2 crops are the easiest by far to grow and make a profit on. The fringe isn’t planting those crops for crop insurance. The hybrids and varieties today are light years ahead of 20 years ago. | |
