So what do you say that it is? Because Im curious too. Supposedly we are in an El Nino but nowhere close to El Nino conditions, at least around here. My question is: If the ocean is warm (El Nino), but everything around it is warm also, does an El Nino still happen? Is it the actual ocean temps that cause El Nino conditions, or is it the contrasting temps?
