If the whole field looks like that picture, I don’t think there is enough straw there to be hard on the combine IF you can get it to feed in evenly.
An auger head without air is gonna send it through in piles. With an Air bar on an auger head or a draper head, it shouldn’t pose much of a problem for the machine. At least not for a red combine ;-)
LOL. Since I put a draper in front of my bright YELLOW (i.e. not the scours yellow brand), I have learned that the rule of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should" applies to bean harvesting also.
Any tips on harvesting these green beans?
