John, as I think you mentioned up above in this thread, we will come out on the other side, after going over the falls. Hopefully we will have all learned something from this. What I think some folks are seeing is that some banks are ALREADY getting back into some of the questionable activities that led to the problems.

Like taking castor oil when you are sick, the medicine is not always pleasant but you come out the better for it. And whoever happens to be in charge when the medicine is needed is probably not going to be very popular.

For our own good we need folks in charge with the guts to issue the castor oil when it is needed.

Not a simple nor popular task. We'd much rather have candy and put off the day of reckoning, which usually makes the hurt worse.
