We generally apply poultry manure preplant.
Then a little N + S with herbicide.
40#N with planter plus P + micros+S
Then PSNT test to determine side dress rate.
Y drop side dress at V10 ish. You can go earlier but we are just trying to match N application to crop need timing.
On high yield fields we may also spread AMS at V3,4.
