Subject: 2588 HPCR Injector Knock?

Iowa
2588 combine. 2700ish eng. hours and has never been apart other than the high pressure fuel pump was replaced under warranty around 1000 hrs.

Combined one hour today and got out to pull some beans off of the reel and noticed a slight bang-bang from the eng. area that would come and go at idle. Had good power and I couldn't hear a problem when I was going through the field.

Pulled the serpentine belt to eliminate all the accessories with no change. It is a rhythmic knock that comes and goes. No excess smoke/ no warning light on in the corner post either.

Dealer won't be out till tomorrow and I don't have any diag. equipment for this electronic engine so I'm going to be patient. Am I on the right track thinking it's an injector?

Oil level is right at full with only a few hours on the change.

The coolant level is right at full too and the coolant system has normal pressure on it when you pull the cap.

I'm not going to run it till they take a listen/look at it. Thanks for any help.
