Located 30 miles north of Missouri and 50 miles west of Illinois. I'd say fall tillage is around 30% completed and 90% of what was done was done in very poor conditions. About the same amount of fall NH3 was applied. I'd say 10% of the corn in the area is still in the field and maybe 5% of the beans, heard of one guy with a thousand acres of beans still in the field. We are saturated with standing water just about everywhere, my sump pump has ran on a pretty consistant basis all winter and it's moving enough water that the puddle where it dumps in the ditch (couple hundred gallons, it's a big puddle) hasn't froze over all winter even after a couple weeks of very cold weather and it's out in the open where the wind hits it. If it was April 1st with perfect weather we'd be close to two weeks away from planting. |
