| I am researching agricultural drones and my concern about DJI is they are a Chinese company that was blacklisted in 2021 over spying and national security concerns. Would rather support an American company if possible. Hylio is an american company that makes ag drones. Does anyone have any insight into this?
My other concerns with these spraying drones is that they seem to only have 15 minutes of hovering time before the batteries need to be recharged. That seems like a PIA if you are trying to be efficient with a whole field and larger acreage (we are grain farmers). How many extra batteries are needed to be efficient? And then I suppose you would need a portable generator to charge the batteries which could take a half hour. | |
