Subject: Fall tillage (What is completed in your area?) SURVEY

Mascoutah, Illinois
With February just around the corner and winter starting to lock in again, I was wondering how much was done in your area. How much fall tillage is done and what is your moisture level?

Here are the questions:

1. Where are you located and how much fall tillage has been completed in the 25-50 mile radius of where you live?

2. Are you wet, dry, or average?

3. If today were April 1, 2010 how many days before you could start spring fieldwork?

Answers:

1. I am located 25 miles east of St. Louis and fall tillage is 1-2% complete.

2. We are extremely wet with standing water in all fields.

3. We would be fortunate to turn a wheel three weeks after April 1.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION.

Here is a scary equation!!! 90 million corn acres @ 160bpa equals 14.4 billion bushels.
