SW Indiana | English is taught in school as a second language beginning in the third grade, but that has only been common 10 or so years. The older cousins vary from good English to enough English that we could communicate. The older generation English is limited, their father knows maybe 20ish words?
He has a translator app that he could speak finish and the phone would speak English and English to finish. We spent quite a bit of time looking at pictures and videos on my phone and discussing farming. It was incredible. | |
