We planted trit this year will intention of chopping it. After trit starts heading the protein drops like a rock. The wheat we chopped had a better leaf/stem ratio than trit. Ended up baling trit and it toned out ok but the bales look like straw. Of course when it was boot stage it was raining .20” every other day
