I have a good friend that sells both Dish and Direct. He sells way more Dish Network. He also says the DVR on Dish is better. DVR is a must for me. Don't know your area, but Dish offers more local channels. A side note, the CEO of Dish is a big Democrat so you have to pay more to get Fox News. Direct offers Fox on its lowest package.
