Even if many of the ears are turned down, watering the plant will minimize the 'shrink' of the kernels shriveling, and will help greatly in standability if you are prone to fall winds. Half milk line means 2 more inches of moisture for optimum yields, so I would give it one more irrigation if it doesn't rain. At least that is what I'd do 'here'. | |
