| I do not mean to go short on a speculative basis, the trend remains strong. I always step aside any market in which speculators, particularly the funds, get overloaded.....I bought hogs in August & Sept --april has advanced 20 from the lows...July not quite so much....pork prices have been cheap & the clearance out of storage has been good, which would be expected......In August the funds were net short....now the funds are 4X long...the hedgers are short an amount equal to the fall of 2008......time for me to stand aside. | |
