I have had Dish TV for many years . My neice started with Direct then switched to dish after a couple of years.

Only thing is I wish I could buy just the channels I want / watch. I am forced to buy about 150 crap channels that I never watch to get the ones I like. History, History international, discovery channel, science channel, TCM movie channel, Nat Geo channel, speed channel, news channels, Weather channel, Mil channel.

I bought big dish "C band" satellite TV and later small dish "KU band" TV to get more variety and get away from only two channels and such heavy commercial load. Now many of the pay sat tv channels are approching 50% commercial load. Those better have an exceptional show on or I consider the price too high and change the channel. That is one reason I like TCM, their movies are all old, good and cheap, so they need very little advertising to pay the bills. If not for the Science type channels, I would pitch the whole works in the garbage.
