SW Iowa | Has anyone had to adjust the spacing on paired twisters from the recommended 1.25" to 1.5"? This was my first year with full twisters across the planter, both corn and beans have significant gaps in emergence. The precision finger meters were running around 98% on 32000 pop, but my final stand is more like 28000. Corn ground got a hard rain a week after being planted, but the beans came up uneven too. I do have wavy no till coulters on. Dad planted all the corn and I don't think he did a cross section furrow check. Wondering if we had an air pocket at the bottom? Have seed firmers on too. Wanting to do some testing when I have time. Looking for ideas | |
