Gasoline consumption is closer to 140 byn gallon per year in the US
The greatest effect ethanol has had is reducing refiner margins, which lowers the price of ALL gasoline sold
I many times have doubts regarding ethanol-----but also wonder why so many countries around the world that do not make it from corn are so interested in biofuels??
Are we hungup on the feedstock issue rather than the ultimate goal?
