| Ethanol has a very small effect on our energy security. We've been through the numbers on this before. If the positive balance was greater, you might have something. You may or may not be paying attention, but, unemployment is at around 10% and rising. The U.S. is going to run a deficit of around 1.75 Trillion this year. At some point, it's going to be time to pay the piper, and it would be all to easy to get caught up in the prop wash. How many states that currently have their own ethanol subsidies are going to come under pressure to drop them? If you look on the Machinery page, the predominant question seems to be which quarter million dollar tractor to buy. That fact is not lost on the general public. | |
