The deal will get done. Even if we technically default in the short term, eventually the volatility in financial markets will force the politician's hands.

I still think the deal gets done just in time.

The US is very far from becoming Venezuela no matter if the debt limit is raised before or slightly after technical default. Our government even with its problems is far more effective. Our economy is still the best in the world without question.
