From the trailers I have seen over the years, most manufacturers don't want to spend the money to really make the wiring on their trailers trouble free, no matter what the brand. They could be, but IMO it seems to require common sense most manufacturers lack. Perhaps it's just economics, but some things I have seen on newer trailers just makes me scratch my head.
