Time will tell. Nudging while making a pass would be counter productive and just plain a lot of work. Might as well steer manually then.
Nudging with smartpath is just a trainwreck, anyway. Nudge should work as a line shift. If you nudge 6 inches closer, it should tighten the swath 6 inches, but it doesn't work that way. If you're northbound, and you nudge left, it moves you west, acting as a makeshift differential correction instead of the line shift that a nudge is supposed to be. If you plant around a horseshoe terrace, when you are on the other side, that nudge to make you 6 inches closer is now making you 6 inches wider. I don't know if I can think of a better way to make the nudge function useless. |
