Personally, it was a lot cheaper feeding cattle before all the ethanol subsidies. Cost of gain in the late 90's was often in the $.30's, today it's in the $.70's. This isn't even a hard question. That's not even entering in the increased land costs. So, yes, I'd say I was better off before the Ethanol industry "helped me out."
