You strongly claim that the USDA is above corruption. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't trust any aspect of our government right now.
My question to you is, why issue an "ending" report on information that was clearly not "final" information? They openly stated that the numbers were derived during late November and early December. What was the overall percentage of corn harvested at this time? 60% nationally? I don't know, but I bet it wasn't any more than this.
What are you going to say in March if they come back and knock the final yield back to where it was originally estimated (or less)?
I recall a few corrections in the last few years, a couple of which totally caught the market by surprise. | |
