northern MN | Myself along with 4 other farmers and a executive spent considerable time with the RMA back in the late 90's in a fact finding capacity. They told us they could project yield by satellite to within 5% but farmers would reject not having a human element. About this same time one of the sections I farm in was part of a "ground truthing" study for 3 or 4 years. They also told us that MCPI insurance had a 35% morality factor built in.
