Since when is Crop in the Field the same as Crop in the Bin? (Thats were USDA put it!)
The 13.151 number is nothing more than to drop the market and keep it from rallying. Instead of reporting the final number when the crop is completely off. And if that takes until the March Report that is what you do...
I will take the 60 lb test weight that I had last year, any day over the 50 lb I have this year.
And if you think that does not translate in to less final saleable bushels, then I will trade you crops any day.
Part of Lanworth's theory is that with the lack of solar radiation the past year, we could not possibly in many area's make the kind of grain we had in other years.
From what the weights I harvested, I have no disagreement with that theory.
