SC Iowa | Iowa corn yield is 183 in 2009 vs. 181 in 2004
In looking at district averages comparing 2004 vs. 2009, there are some sizable changes....for instance, this year's crop production is about 9% larger than 2004, but the increase in corn production in the WC district is up 19%....a combination of acres and yield, with yield being up 13 bpa..
On the flip side, the central crop district yield was down 12 bpa under 2004...
net/net, the districts with the largest acreage performed very well, and held up the state average | |
