Subject: Has USDA ever called you and asked what your yields were?

west Tennessee
I am somewhatfamiliar with SOME of the methods USDA uses to tabulate crop conditions, and supply/demand etc...
But Seriously, has anyone on here ever been contacted on the phone, by USDA and had them ask you... " ok Bob, are you done harvesting? Well How did it turn out? What was your average yield?"

I cantfind a soul around West Tn that has EVER been contacted by Usda. I know theres no way for them to know my yields, because they have never called, and I havent finished reporting yields to crop insurance yet.

Maybea better question would be to ask someoneon here with knowledge on the subject to give us a "refresher" on exactly what methods USDA used to tabulate todays report.

I will say that I'm not personally blaming USDA for the market reaction, and I cant personally contradict their numbers, I have no idea what size crop we had nationwide.
