https://bard.google.com/ You have to get on the wait list, took me a very short time, minutes I believe. It's been interesting and a little disappointing on some things. I wanted it to design a birdhouse roof that had a base diameter of 10 inches and came to a peak at 5 inches. That would require cutting wood into pie shapes with angles on each side to the fit tightly together. It never was able to come close to what I wanted. However I asked it write a batch file to reboot windows and below is the result.
@echo off
rem This batch file will reboot the computer.
rem Get the current time. set now=%time%
rem Set the time to reboot in 15 minutes. rem You can change the number of seconds to whatever you want. set /a timetoreboot=%now:~0,2%%now:~3,2%%now:~6,2%+10
rem Display a message telling the user that the computer will reboot in 10 seconds. echo The computer will reboot in 10 seconds.
rem Pause for 10 seconds. timeout /t 900
rem Reboot the computer. shutdown /r /t 0 /c "Rebooting the computer."
To use this batch file, save it as a .bat file and then double-click on it to run it. The computer will reboot 10 seconds after the batch file is run.
On social issues it's rather liberal and most often offers 2 sides. For example I asked 2 questions; Is the death penalty for murder appropriate?Whether the death penalty for murder is appropriate is a complex question with no easy answer. There are many factors to consider, including the moral implications of taking a life, the effectiveness of the death penalty as a deterrent, and the risk of executing an innocent person. Those who support the death penalty argue that it is a just punishment for murder, and that it deters future crimes. They also argue that it is necessary to protect society from dangerous criminals. Those who oppose the death penalty argue that it is cruel and unusual punishment, and that it does not deter crime. They also argue that there is always a risk of executing an innocent person. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to support the death penalty is a personal one. There are strong arguments on both sides of the issue, and each person must weigh the factors involved and make their own decision. Here are some additional arguments for and against the death penalty: Arguments in favor of the death penalty: - It is a just punishment for murder.
- It deters future crimes.
- It is necessary to protect society from dangerous criminals.
- It brings closure to the families of victims.
Arguments against the death penalty: - It is cruel and unusual punishment.
- It does not deter crime.
- There is always a risk of executing an innocent person.
- It is expensive.
- It is morally wrong.
It is important to note that the death penalty is a controversial issue, and there is no clear consensus on whether or not it is appropriate. Ultimately, each person must decide for themselves what they believe.
Then I asked; Is the death penalty expensive because of excessive legislation and court proceedings? Yes, the death penalty is expensive because of excessive legislation and court proceedings. A study by the National Institute of Justice found that the average cost of a death penalty case is $1.26 million, compared to $740,000 for a non-death penalty case. The study found that the additional costs associated with death penalty cases are due to a number of factors, including: - More complex legal proceedings: Death penalty cases are more complex than non-death penalty cases, and they require more time and resources from prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges.
- More appeals: Death penalty cases are more likely to be appealed than non-death penalty cases, which adds to the cost of the process.
- Longer incarceration time: Death row inmates are incarcerated for longer periods of time than non-death penalty inmates, which also adds to the cost.
The study concluded that the death penalty is "a costly and inefficient way to punish criminals."
